About Us: Dustin C. Defnall

Dustin Defnall joined the United States Navy as a Cryptologist for the Atlantic Intelligence Command and Commander in Chief, Atlantic Fleet in Norfolk, Virginia. During his four-year tour, the Birmingham, Alabama native became the youngest enlisted sailor to be named Operations Petty Officer for the Consolidated Intelligence Communications Center.

In 1995, he was personally recognized for his contributions by the director of intelligence (J2). During Operation SUPPORT DEMOCRACY, he was awarded the Joint Service Achievement Medal for supervising and resolving communications issues for a successful first-ever video teleconference between the President of the United States and tactical commanders.

After receiving an honorable discharge from the Navy, Mr. Defnall accepted a position in Network Management to establish individual Local Area Networks within a top secret security environment for more than 29 sites in support of the United States Reserves. He supervised the replacing of physical network media and assisted in the upgrading of the logical network platform within the designated locations of the Pentagon as well as portions of the White House.

The extensive experience in Cryptology, Networking and Structured Cabling/Communications allowed for a new division of Cyber Operations to be developed. Mr. Defnall joined Cyber Operations in July of 2005 as the Products Deployment Manager, Five months later; he accepted the position as president. Mr. Defnall resides in Gardendale, Alabama with his wife Jessica and daughter Jillian.
